Who has the best fruit baskets?
We are looking to send a fruit/cheese gift basket to a 2 person family. I have been looking online for a reputable company, and have read reviews on Amazon, but the good vendors seem to be a bit limited.
It has been years since I have sent/received a fruit basket, so I turn to the savvy people here. Perhaps you know of a wonderful local fruit farm that has an online presence and delivers? Or maybe you had a recent experience with a company that sent delicious fruits and has great customer service.
Our budget is under/around $50 and delivery can be anytime before 12/31. We want to steer away from sweets as there will be plenty of that.

Of course, I don't know where you are; that makes it difficult to tell if a fruit shipment could reach you by Christmas. Having said that, a card saying that one is on the way is always doable I have had good luck with wwww.nokomisgroves.com and the delicious honeybells are available only in January which would be appropriate for a promise.
Harry and David (http://www.harryanddavid.com/) is pretty popular; a friend's family gets some of their pears every year and swears they're the best ever. I've also liked everything I've had from them.
@klozitshoper: thanks for link. We are overseas, but are shipping to eastern US. It does not have to be there by 12.25, just the end of the year. Honeybells are a great idea and a promise of more presents to come - fantastic!
@cityonthesea: Ty! I will check them out also. It is good to hear of positive experiences.
If it can be fresh cut fruit rather than whole, I think Edible Arrangements are great. I have samples a couple of them and they were outstanding - great taste and beautiful to look at!
