Cheated again in Western Virginia. Nothing.

At least a foot in southern NY.

While I feel bad for my family up in NJ, I can shamelessly say that Tampa Bay is a beautiful 76 degrees today, with no clouds and no snow.

We got about 3" on Thursday-Friday morning in MI, but nothing new with this Nemo storm.

Funny how the news stories refer to the "New England" Blizzard of '78 for context/comparison. Living in northern Ohio at the time, I beg to differ. We got that one just as badly. We were out of power for weeks, cooking soup over a candle. Had snow drifts to the second story of our house. My fish tank froze solid -- suspended animation.

In WI we're having the least eventful winter in living memory I think. At least my memory. We got 8" of snow on Thursday and that was the first time I needed to take out my snow blower this year. Before that the most we've been getting is 3 or 4 inches every week or so. Not enough to warrant snow blowing. I think my total snowfall this year is maybe over 30" now. Maybe.

We'll probably get some rain tonight in the Austin, Texas area, but snow is not currently considered likely by the nice folks at the National Wearher Service whose emails about developing storm systems in the area I receive.

None. Overcast and 50's in AR.

Central Illinois: No snow here.

Glens Falls, NY - 6-8" according to the one who snowblowed this morning. It was nothin.

I grew up in Boston but live in Los Angeles now so no snow for me. My hometown friends have snow that's about mid-thigh or higher.

I really like all these photos they're posting on Facebook. I'm a bit jealous. I've always been a fan of extreme weather (as long as no one gets hurt). Just makes me feel alive yet small and in awe of the world we live in.

vote-for4vote-against

None yet but the storm is supposed to hit this evening so I'll let you know tomorrow.

I'm so confused as to why someone down-voted my answer. Bizarre.

@bnbsouthworth: We were in one in '75 in northern Ohio coming back from PA. Fortunately got off the road and got a room at the Holiday Inn. I-90 was closed for three days. By the third day the hotel was running out of food and just put out a buffet of everything they had. Our 2 year old got a crash course in potty training because we ran of diapers real quick.

@eraten: Maybe they don't like Wisconsin, or snow blowers, or shovels. Who knows? There's plenty of strange people out there that will downvote the most innocuous things. I wouldn't even give it a second though if I were you, just chalk it up to people being on the internet.

You may want to post a roll call for Members in New England... I'm on-line from home for the first time since leaving for work on Thursday afternoon... Finally got the generator hooked up and running so my modem, router & Laptop have power... As well as a freezer and fridge.. Fridge may be DOA... Also dug out Propane space heater and a grill... Warming up the house from 37 this morning to a toasty 56 this evening...
Drove (4Wheeled) home during the storm in the evening hours Friday night.. High winds & white out conditions made it interesting.. Power went out just before 11PM, public service call said no power for 3 + days.. Once the snow stopped (30
+ inches) Yesterday it took 4 hours to dig the truck out and head back to work, 4 wheeling again.. Only went over a curb once.... Late night freezing (temp of 15) made the early morning return home another adventure... Gotta' Love Mother Nature...

Glad you are home and safe now.

We've had about 10". In the past ten years, altogether. Desert southwest. I've had more sand piled up in my yard than snow on the long haul. Hope all is well for you all in the snow states.
