How do you take your French Fries?
Sauce? No sauce? Ketchup, A1, Heinz 57, Mayo?
I like mustard or vinegar.
I say: "Look! Look!"
I point with my left hand.
I snag their fries with my right.
Free and/or plentiful.

I love vinegar & ketchup,especially when I get them at the beach or at a carnival. But when I get them from the local sub shop, I get their bacon/cheddar/ranch fries, they are AWESOME!!!
Mayo. Definitely mayo. Some sort of mustard if that's not available.
Any way I can get them. Usually with ketchup, but sometimes vinegar (I love they put cider vinegar out at 5 Guys). If I have it around, I put in Siracha, somtimes mixed with ketchup, sometimes mayo.

Salty. Occasionally with vinegar, mustard, gravy, or horseradish sauce.
If they're good fries, then only salt. They taste perfect that way. If they are not the best fries, then ketchup.
@cf: Ohhhh. I forgot gravy. That was my favorite topping in the High School cafeteria.

I recently learned I really like my fries with Malt Vinegar. But in the past I have been known to say Fries are just a vehicle for ketchup. Man I love the red stuff.
Vinegar if it's available. Salt only if it's not.
Salt, lots of ketchup, on the side, never on the fries. My friend and I were eating at a restaurant and they wanted to combine our fry orders into one basket and seemed a bit peevish when I asked them to make them separate. When the owner walked by I pointed out my friend's basket of fries lukewarm and soggy with ketchup all over them, and my little cup of ketchup on the side of my basket of hot and crispy fries. Then he understood.
I can't believe how many people eat sweet potato fries with ketchup though. Yech. They are okay with ranch dressing, but better with peanut sauce.
Light salt, preferably seasoned instead of salted. With lots of ketchup. Any restaurants offering seasoned fries is definitely doing it right.
usually salt with a side of ketchup. i do like them with old bay, cajun seasoning or the occasional sprinkling of bacon salt.

Most of the time just salted.
But I do like french fries with chili and cheese or bacon bits and cheese!
