Surprised no one has offered to help here. :|

I have seen one of these in action and was mesmerized that they make wireless meat thermometers now. I don't grill enough to justify buying one of these to replace my standard analog thermo, but this would probably be the last meat thermometer you would ever need.

@curtisuxor: not surprised no one is answering, because we are all waiting and watching for answers ourselves. i would like a new one too because the dial ones i have seem kinda skitchy. however i was looking in a significantly lower price range.

I have a couple of digital electronic ones from Taylor that I've had good luck with. (I've tested them and they are accurate at 32degF and 212degF.)

The temperature probe on one of them had become wonky, but then my gf slammed a drawer shut on the cable and kinked it (I shortened the cable by six inches and it is fine again).

@w00tgurl: I got one from Deals a while ago that is similar to the one you're talking about. I think it was from Meritline (about $2.00). Nice quick digial readout. Haven't had any problems with it at all.
