and feel guilty about... probably Hoarders.
It's shameful the amount of enjoyment I get watching other people sickness.

vote-for15vote-against

As far as worst show on television overall... anything on E or Bravo or anything that begins with "SyFy presents"

vote-for49vote-against

i am personally not a fan of the mtv "reality" shows like Teen Mom, 16 & Pregnant and Jersey Shore.

vote-for10vote-against

Any comedy. If they have to use a laugh track to tell you it's funny, it isn't.

Then of course any of the teenage shows on Disney or any other channel would quickly get my vote. No wonder kids don't know what to do with themselves.

vote-for7vote-against

easy, Bob's burgers.
Followed closely by Bridezillas, real housewives, mob wives, etc.

@mtm2: What if it's shot before a Live studio audience who laugh?

vote-for9vote-against

I feel guilty about no tv shows I watch. Especially scripted stuff on Syfy.

But worst on tv? Anything on MTV or E! (except the soup).

vote-for48vote-against

Anything with the name "Kardashian" in the title.

vote-for48vote-against

Any of the "reality" shows. Who's kidding whom on these things?

vote-for12vote-against

It's still, and will always be, Two and a Half Men.

vote-for20vote-against

The teen mom / 16 pregnant series are the worst because they are probably encouraging young girls to consider pregnancy as a vehicle to stardom.

vote-for5vote-against

@majohns66: Stole my answer. IMO if its "reality" its almost certainly trash.

vote-for11vote-against

- Any reality show, or something gossip-y like TMZ. Ick.
- I liked the music on Glee, but stopped watching when I realized that I detested every single character on the show.
- Scripted "wrestling". On the rare occasion that I'd choose to watch guys fighting, I want it to be real (boxing, UFC, actual wrestling...whatever).

I can put up with almost anything else for at least a little time.

vote-for4vote-against

I actually don't mind TMZ too much. They take a Soup-like approach to the gossip and basically turn it into making fun of every celebrity, not kissing their asses.

But I still agree that all of the reality shows are terrible.

vote-for2vote-against

The worst shows I watch (sort of) are CSI Miami and Body of Proof. It looks like I am going to be adding Scandal and The Client List. The reason why I classify these shows as truly terrible are due to the fact that the stories are often absurd, and the writers worship the ground upon which their characters walk. They can do no wrong, if any character on the show conflicts with them they will be revealed to be wrong, and usually either completely stupid or evil. Why do I "watch" them? Because I like to have something running on the TV while I work on art or play games on the computer, and these shows require only the 3 brain cells I am not using for those tasks to follow them. The closest thing I have to "guilty pleasures", bad-ish shows I actually watch, are Secret Circle and Pretty Little Liars. I watch these shows (and a whole lot of others of doubtful pedigree) because I enjoy the characters.

vote-for8vote-against

Pretty much all reality T.V.
Just about EVERYTHING on MTV
Lifetime
Oprah channel
Glee

vote-for25vote-against

Toddlers in Tiaras...The commercials make you feel sleazy just by being subjected to them. Also, you see the root of many disorders being planted in all those poor poor children. I remember seeing a clip on Talk Soup that was making fun of it and I was left feeling disgustipated.

vote-for11vote-against

Just about anything on E! minus The Soup. Love that show.

vote-for14vote-against

In agreement with so many of you. MTV is pretty much nothing but cheap trashy tv showing kids behaving badly. 99% of all reality shows are awful (I do confess to liking The Amazing Race sometimes and I do watch Survivor even though it is pretty lame these days).

I gave up Glee several seasons ago when it became a cameo vehicle for stars.

TMZ is on my list because it truly is nothing but gossip and there seems to be a huge number of people all hanging out and chatting about celebs. It is awful and makes me feel grubby if it comes on.

Two and a Half Men annoys the hell out of me, not funny and perpetuates sexist and lame attitudes towards women.

And oh yeah, anything that puts a Kardashian on the screen is on my sh*t list. That family is nothing but societal parasites.

I'll also add The Voice because it just annoys me and I don't even watch it, the commercials are enough to make me hate everyone associated with that crap.

vote-for15vote-against

@loosecannon67: Toddlers in Tiaras is definitely on the list too. Seriously disgusting child exploitation by badly damaged goods parents. Ugh.

vote-for-3vote-against

Television these days is disgusting, no wonder this country is so f**ed up

vote-for7vote-against

@johnnys13: Yeah, its a TV problem, not that only 37% of people vote on non presidential years and that most voters are fairly uninformed and/or party line. Glad we got that mystery solved.

vote-for8vote-against

Storage Wars. "Yeah, I just bought this locker with a card table in it. It has a small hole in it but it'll bring in a solid 250 bucks all day long." Or the worst tag line ever, "Yuuuuup!"

Gag Me

vote-for4vote-against

anything on the lifetime network for women

vote-for5vote-against

@loosecannon67: I watched a Tom Hanks spoof on that. The scary thing was that if the actor wasn't so well-known, I don't think it would've been far off from the actual show.

vote-for4vote-against

@rockytrh: It's a feedback loop. Bad television keeps the masses complacent and ignorant, which feeds into the low voter turnout and unthinking voting patterns.

vote-for7vote-against

@dillydally: I used to enjoy Fox News, but they have become just as shrill as the other side they claim to be countering.

vote-for4vote-against

Handy Manny from Disney Junior.
The hijinks of the tools are raucous and unfeasible.

vote-for13vote-against

Toddlers in Tiaras is in a class of it's own.

Most anything my wife watches. Partial list:
-Judge Judy (I call her "Springer in drag")
-Judge Joe Brown
-Anything on Court TV (Divorce Court, etc)
-Gray's Anatomy (hate soap operas, no matter what time of day)
-The Voice (vague rip-off of American Idol, which also sucks)
-Dancing with the Stars (Dancing with the Vaguely Familiar)

vote-for10vote-against

Worst show that I'm embarrassed I watch? Jersey Shore or The People's Court.

Worst show on TV? Where do I begin...

Dance Moms
16 and Pregnant
Lizard Lick Towing
Duck Dynasty
"Celebrity" anything...

that's just for starters

vote-for2vote-against

Just when I think I have watched the worst, a new one comes along. Oh how I mist Seinfeld, Dateline NBC when they really had a variety of subjects, CNN of old. I am in agreement with all of the shows each person here has listed - I do not disagree with any of them.

vote-for4vote-against

Real housewives of.... My wife watches it, I don't understand how people can sit down and watch an hour of that show.

I'm ashamed that I enjoy watching Jersey shore. Originally I couldn't stand it, but now I watch it amazed at how dumb some people are.

vote-for3vote-against

@kfujita: So much this. I can't stand that crap.

Also any and all of those shows that involve psychotic overbearing parents enrolling their children in beauty pageants and aggressively ruining their childhood.

vote-for1vote-against

@kamikazeken: That's not a laugh track, though some of them aren't funny either.

vote-for4vote-against

"Ultimate" Fighting, or its interchangeable relative mixed martial arts. I was subjected to a showing of it once when I was getting new tires on my car; I was pretty well forced to watch it as there was nothing to read in the waiting area and no remote for the TV. It was hours of meaningless grandstanding and backstory followed by 30 seconds of "fighting". I would have enjoyed it more had the TV been off completely and I was staring instead at a blank screen.

vote-for3vote-against

Hardcore Pawn. I can't stand it yet can't seem to turn it off.

vote-for-1vote-against

@conanthelibrarian: Agreed. I think Seth is the missing link.

vote-for2vote-against

@moondrake: I watch Body of Proof (or as I like to call it: the show about the still sexually-attractive middle-aged woman who solves crimes by being right all the time) even though it's horrible too! I'm fascinated by how it seems to have been written by a computer program designed to provide wish fulfillment to its audience, who I suspect to be middle-aged women.

vote-for2vote-against

The pawn show that is in Detroit with the brother and sister "fighting" all the time. They are such horrible actors that it is totally unbelievable.

vote-for2vote-against

@mossygreen: Try out The Client List. All my guy friends were panting after Jennifer Love Hewitt in their youth and she still looks great. This show suffers somewhat from the "she's always right" syndrome, but it's worst traits are 1) the massage parlor clients that only want a massage are repelling, but the ones that are willing to pay for "extras" are all great looking, nice guys, 2) this show brings the "hooker with a heart of gold" trope to a whole new level with her sex/counseling/massage sessions. At least this show knows it has a mostly female audience and rewards our patience with its ridiculous premise by serving up plenty of beefcake every episode.

vote-for2vote-against

@moondrake Thank you for making my morning by using the term "beefcake" !

vote-for1vote-against

Two and a Half Men - tried it and can't stand it

vote-for1vote-against

Pretty much anything on television these days.

Reality shows.
Shows with contestants who:
--sing
--dance
--travel the world
--lose weight
Shows with celebrities who act like morons
Shows with celebrities no one remembers living under one roof
Shows with people who are famous for no good reason (Kardashians, Snooki, etc.)
Courtroom dramas
"Judge" court room shows (Judge Judy, etc)
Soccer coverage
Just about all current tv sitcoms
Anything on MTV
MSNBC
The Oprah Winfrey Channel
SyFy Movie of the Week (featuring CGI made on a Commodore 64)
Anything with Charlie Sheen
Trash Talk shows
CNN
Glee
...

sigh tv really sucks these days, doesn't it?

vote-for1vote-against

Every single show on TV is the worst show on TV right now. The commercials are even worse.
