So you need to tattle to build your reputation according to the leaderboard dials. Do you have a strategy for tattling or do you just tattle as your find 'em?

i tattle when people go through and post comments on all of my old deals that people can already see are dead saying theyre dead. theres already a rip sign there so dont spam me with email updates about how its dead/ that wont improve your rep.
@cindihoward: Some guidelines in your quest to be queen of tattles.
1. Netiquette (short for "network etiquette" or "Internet etiquette"): Avoid typing in all caps (SOLD OUT) or grossly enlarging script for emphasis, which is considered to be the equivalent of shouting or yelling.
2. Tattles are for actions not opinions. Expired deal? Great!
Something is not a good price? That is an opinion.
3. When you put a comment in someones expired deal, many people are set up to receive an email. You may risk alienating people by doing this, and in the end it will affect your reputation.
4. When you are so tired that you tattle on the same deal more than one time or several times, it is time to take a break. Wait until you can better keep track of where you are, so you don't repeat tattles.

^This. Seriously.
@cindihoward: I tattle and keep tattling until actions have been taken to placate the awesomeness that is me. Pure speculation, but that could have negative consequences.
I mainly tattle on expired/incorrect price/bad link/spam/illegal stuff.
I stick to duplicates and expired deals
I tattle on:
- obviously explicit items (the kinds of things that usually are on sites that require you to provide proof you're over 18)
- deals that may be otherwise worthy, but where the poster's forgotten to put the price (or any other details)
- questions that seem to lend themselves to #meta (bug reports, feature requests) and #chat (so subjective that I won't bother listing them)
- sites or comments that are obvious counterfeits, or spam, or both
- duplicate deals [1]
- expired deals (I do this one least often)
[1] This is the ONLY time I make a comment on a deal I'm tattling on. Anything else is rude. I provide the link to the earlier deal (which I also provide in the comment for the tattle), and I usually say something like "Sorry, OP, Duplicate deal" and then provide the link to it.
Tattles do make a difference in your reputation, but it's microcosmic even when positive, and runs the risk of being VERY negative, if you tattle, and it's not acted upon...
I also tattle now and then with something I'm pretty sure won't be acted upon. I've asked to drown users, and I often request electrocution for them. If anyone's ever received a sudden faint shock from the keyboard, or mouse, that's me, trying to give you the smackdown.
I've tattled on my own stuff to get pictures that I couldn't get when I posted a deal, or to have spelling/grammar corrections, because it makes me crazy to see them. I was so very grateful to have the ability to edit Deals and Questions right after they're made. I take advantage of it, and I say thank you, in my heart, every time I do.
Best way is to find 1 person and go through all there deals, starting with the oldest...
I only tattle on expired deals as I come across them, and spambot comments.
