What's so special about the most recent WootOff aka Why for servers behave so spectacular this time?

Did I miss something? Or did yesterday's WootOff not seem so fantastic as to cause the Woot servers to go wonky this time around? It's not like it was BOC 24/7. INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW.

Refurb servers from Amazon and woot did not buy the extended warranty,or maybe it's the solar flares?

@dw1771: I heard that they've got more servers coming in, but they use SmartPost, so it may take a while. But at least it was only $5.

Since Deals.woot is the only site up, I think it is an acknowledgement of the greatness of the deals.woot community.

@dw1771, since deals.woot is the only woot site up, the deals.woot questions area is the only place to get woot entertainment until the servers are back up.

I'm not stir crazy yet, but getting close.

@narfcake: I think they learned the hard way that flying monkeys can't type or code very well. Even when you fling them at the keyboard, they just hit some random keys.

@captainsuperdawg: And you you know when they arrive, the wrong items will be in packages, on the plus side they will get to keep whatever is in the package, while they get the right items shipped out.

@dw1771: True, but they should at least send an e-mail to themselves, just for moral reasons. Also, agreed with the acknowledgement of the deals.woot community's greatness.

You should have been hearing "Down goes woot! Down goes woot!"
(Cosell's changing of the normal word order was what made the commentary special)

Geez, why so negative?

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
