Best online store for inexpensive dog supplies?
My fiancee and I will likely be looking into adopting a dog soon. However, there will likely be enough of a wait period that we could have enough time to wait for supplies to come from an online retailer.
Which site would my fellow Wooters recommend? I'm looking for a site that is relatively inexpensive and known for good deals, but reputable.
I'm not sure about the prices, but petco.com and petsmart.com are pretty popular.
Check out 1800petmeds.com. Good prices on lots of dog stuff, quick delivery, and free shipping on orders of $35 or more. And every box arrives with a humongous Milk-Bone like treat in it. (I know it's silly, but that's a nice touch and my poodles love the things.)
Good prices on both OTC meds and Rx meds, too; all you need to do is fax the Rx to them, or give them your vet's contact info and they'll call to get the Rx info.
@magic cave: I didn't realize they did more than just medications.
I am PetcareRX customer myself....
I don't have a dog, but I've found that Drs Foster and Smith have really competitive prices and they offer free shipping above a certain minimum order.
If they had all the stuff I need for my rabbit I probably wouldn't shop anywhere else.
I like dollar stores for cheap pet toys etc.
@magic cave: They have been on the receiving end of multiple lawsuits for prescription fraud, incorrectly filled medications, and selling counterfeit products----just fyi. They of course have a huge legal team to keep it all hush-hush, however. Check FDA.gov sometime. You might be shocked.
@reginafilangee: Thank you for the additional information.
