Not even looking. I know what needs to be done!

The scale is easy to avoid... the mirror, not so much...

Step on it while holding your cat, then divide by two.

I recieved 22lbs. of chocolate for Christmas, everyone knows how much I love it. I have managed to demolish 4lbs. and I am VERY afraid to step on the scale.

My scale and I decided we needed some time away from each other. I think I'll try to initiate a "let's get back together" talk in about 2-3 weeks. I think this time away has been good for us. But it's time to get back to basics.

Now if only I could get my jeans to talk to me again... that would be nice.

Yup, sad to say. I went for a physical 2 weeks ago (can't avoid stepping on it there!) and it was depressing. And that was before the Xmas/New Year's holidays!

The real question is, what are some of the BEST tips for us lazy wooters to try getting some lbs off, easy and with less effort??

@turtlegir1: Ha! If you think there's an easy way, you still believe in Santa! :)

@turtlegir1: Easy. Really. Exercise faithfully. Daily if possible, even if it is only going for a walk.
Avoid flours, sugars, and simple starches and for the time being, starchy vegetables. Stay away from the bread, rolls, cereals & "nutrition" bars. Read up on the glycemic table. Start reading the nutrition data on the boxes. Learn what a portion of each food REALLY is.
Eat more fresh, unprocessed foods. Think of it like this: if it has to go through more than 4 processing steps to your plate, then maybe you ought to re-think putting it in your mouth.

Fat IS ok to eat. Just choose the good fats. Fat satiates the appetite. Eat fruit, rather than fruit juice. Cut out the sodas. Are you drinking those frappacappamochachino calorie bombs every day? Switch to simple coffee. Your waist and your pocket book will thank you.
Salads are great, just not the ones with the croutons and fried chicken strips and the creamy dressings. Low fat does NOT mean low calorie. Same goes for sugar free.

I'm always afraid I haven't gained anything, even though I'm going to the gym consistently and eating a decent amount. People who gain weight easy from overeating always yell at me for being an a$$hole, but, darn it, it's just as hard for me to gain weight as it is for most to lose it!

I get on the scale every single day, first thing in the morning. I lost 40 lbs and have kept it off for two years, no way am I going through that again! How I did it...counted calories. I wrote down every calorie I ate and when I hit 1500 I was done for the day. You really learn to choose worthwhile calories when you have a budget.

Don't have a scale. My jeans tell me everything I need to know. I usually don't want to listen to what they are telling me...I've decided to ignore them this week.
