questionswhat summer movie is the biggest disappointment…

Haven't seen a letdown yet, but my least favorite movie-going experience was Men in Black III because I almost cried during one particular scene and I don't like to cry around others. But it was still a good movie.

I was happy with Prometheus. I guess my biggest letdown so far is that there are so few that I want to see- Prometheus is the only one that's looked good enough to drag me out of the house to watch so far. I'm sure the next Dark Knight movie will, too, though, so we'll see how that goes.

Snow White was horrible. The Dictator was lame. MIB3 wasn't that bad. Has it's moments. Ending was good.

I loved Prometheus. The character development wasn't all there, but most die also so it's not a big deal to me. That's not what I wanted from that movie anyways. I got wanted I wanted and was left wanting more.

Going to see Spiderman this week. Looks good. Want to see Savages this weekend. Hearing lots of good things from it. Love Oliver Stone movies. Dark Knight is a no brainier. Resident Evil is the last summer flick I want.

John Carter. I'm a HUGE S-F fan, but it just didn't do it for me for some reason. I liked a lot of the special effects and alien appearances, and found parts of it quite amusing....but it just didn't hold my interest, plot-wise. Too convoluted and hard to follow. I'd never read the books, so that might be part of it, but I don't think a movie should be dependent upon reading the source material in order to enjoy/fully understand it. I had been really looking forward to it, too.

Then again, I wasn't feeling all that great that night, so that might have been part of it. Might give it another chance now that it's out on DVD/BR.

Actually, this was more of a springtime release than a "summer" movie, wasn't it? So, ignore this comment, lol.

P.S. I liked Prometheus (although not as much as I'd thought I would) in the future is going to be vastly different than it is now, huh? LOL

Mirror, Mirror. From the previews I expected a film I could pair with The Princess Bride, but it didn't deliver.

Prometheus. For some reason it seems everyone here liked it, but I thought it was slow, annoyingly predictable and had a lame ending.

Rock of Ages. I am not a fan of musicals, but the previews had me jazzed on this one. Unfortunately, the film was not as energetic as the preview, the characters were too cartoonish to connect with, and the lead singers just didn't have the chops to carry it off. I did enjoy the work of the veteran actors, especially Russel Brand, but the main story has nothing to recommend it and the new talent did nothing to elevate it.

Spiderman. First hour was the same movie that they made 10 years ago. And after that the actions of certain characters made no sense and were done just to justify fight scenes

I was really looking forward to Prometheus. It started out so good. An hour in I was even thinking about how much I was enjoying it. Unfortunately after that it tanked. I think the downward spiral started with the female lead racing, leaping, climbing, and bounding around the planet after major abdominal surgery. I can usually suspend my disbelief during a movie, but that was ridiculous.
