Is the Zombie 5K for real?
I just found out about this-there are few details-anyone done this before? I like the training tips!
I'm kind of disappointed that this doesn't kick-off at the Pittsburgh location since George Romero started the whole zombie genre here. (I grew up 3 miles from the graveyard in the original Night of the Living Dead, and one of my uncles was a zombie in it.)
@woadwarrior: I'm so jealous that I kind of hate you a little bit. Not really, but you get my point.
I'm also a bit curious as to whether these zombies will be the traditional slow walkers, or the newer fast and improved living dead.
@captainsuperdawg: according to their FAQ it'll be both, and you too can join the zombie masses for a mere $25 which will get you zombie makeup, a snack, water during the race, and a beer afterwards.
BTW, I also camp at the campground every year where the farmhouse from the movie is located.
@woadwarrior: I'm seriously considering registering as a zombie. Staying true to the classics and my laziness, I'll be a walker, not a runner.
