What the difference, technologically, between flashdrives/jumpdrives and solid state drives?
Besides the circuit board and some preloaded drivers/programs. What justifies the price jump that a 32GB flashdrive is $20 and a 32GB SSD is at least $60? The dollar to GB ratio drops a bit with higher capacity drives.
My guess is of course still a supply/demand thing, but is there any special quality in SSDs that would justify it otherwise?
