Have you ever tried the Darkside of The Rainbow?
It has been said for years that if you start The Wizard Of Oz and Pink Floyd's The Wall album at a certain time that they sync up together perfectly. There are even movie theaters that will have special Darkside of The Rainbow showings. I have never been to a showing or tried it myself, but I recently found a YouTube link that someone put a TON of time into. The soundtrack starts when it is supposed to and plays throughout the movie. The person who posted the video even went through the trouble to break out the parts that sync well together.
Pretty nifty!!
Yes, I actually have that version on DVD. It contains 3 sound tracks.
1. Pink Floyd Music Only
2. Original Wizard of Oz track
3. Both #1 and #2 mixed.
It seemed to match in the beginning but as the movie progressed, it didn't seem a good fit. Wasn't too impressed.
I was not impressed either.
I was too busy watching the scarecrow pull out his gun and the hanging person in the background.
I thought you were talking about the new Skittles:

Which, of course, is probably a reference to this.
@cengland0: I do wonder if the DVD was created with the right source video. Not to mention, I think the timing was specific to the vinyl version of the album. And the running time of probably a specific DVD.

After posting here, I went out and bought the new Skittles of the same name. They're not bad, but they basically just taste like "skittles"
I haven't tried it myself, but I own the poster version of @rglee129's Dark Side of Oz Listening Party!
@omnichad: Me too.
Going to find some this evening. Gotta go to target anyways.
We actually did this with a videocassette of The Wizard of Oz and the Pink Floyd CD back in the 90's. If you get it synced up right, the hits are pretty strong. "racing around to come up behind you again", "The Great Gig in the Sky", "Money". Some of the Munchkin parts match up but it does start to get pretty loose after "the lunatic is on the grass".
We now have a copy of "The Dark Side of Oz" and a copy of "Dorothy on The Wall". Both are fairly good productions. I'll post up some deals if I can find them.
Nah. They are both classics in their own right. I like roast beef, and I like gummy bears. Both are classics but a mixture would be.......meh.
Didn't find any Skittles : (
I should do this, the wife like Wiz of Oz and I like the Floyd.
So do you turn the sound from the movie completly off or over lap?
@wickedd365: Granted, we probably live hundreds of miles away from each other and in different markets, but I saw some of the darkside Skittles at a Dollar General last Tuesday. Didn't buy any, yet, but they stuck in my mind. Good luck!
@mossygreen: I went to Target. Need some stuff. They have a small candy section. Even the ones at the registers are small. Like 4 boxes and chips and nonsense. Just the basic stuff.
I got my mom looking for me too. She's always shopping so I know she will find some.
@caffeine_dude: When I did it a long time ago, the sound was just off. The music kind of takes over this way, and does a good job on its own.
