Have you ever seen a RIP'ped deal on the Fresh tab?

I few minutes ago I clicked on the Fresh tab to see if anything new had been posted. There was a deal marked as RIP at the top. I refreshed the page and it disappeared. I've never seen this before and was wondering if anyone else had. I always thought that when a deal was RIP'ped it immediatley would disappear.

Edit: forgot to also ask this. I think the deal was posted by @conanthelibrarian. Did you expire and then delete a deal?

expired deals disappear from the Top tab a few seconds after being expired. under a minute but still a few seconds

@w00tgurl: That seems to be talking about them disappearing, normal behavior. The one I saw was still in the Fresh tab. I don't know for how long. If it had been my deal, I wouldn't have been surprised. This was from someone else.

I tattled and then expired, it was too late to delete. It was for an item that I later found was a duplicate to an older post.

@conanthelibrarian: I thought you had done something like that. I was just surprised the deal showed as RIP and was on the Fresh tab.

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
