Would you try the new Jack in the Box Bacon Milkshake?
My wife just txted me about this:
http://www.jackinthebox.com/nutrition/product.php?prod_id=bacon_shake_regular_%2816_oz.%29&cat_id=8
It's real.
Unfortunately for me, the nearest Jack in the Box appears to be about 300 - 400 miles south or east.

With health info like that, it's gotta be good!

From ABC:
In addition to the calories, a regular-size milkshake costs $2.90 after tax. But don’t expect to just walk in or drive up to your local Jack in the Box and see the new item on the menu.
“The shake is not listed on our menus in the restaurants, so it’s more of a ‘secret item’ that people can order. Each restaurant is getting a very limited quantity, so we don’t know how long they will last,” a Jack in the Box spokesperson told the Huffington Post.
Indeed, the chain is advertising the new shake with a disclaimer that says the drink is “as limited as limited can be” and “might disappear.”
It's bacon, so it's gotta be good!
If someone handed me one, I would try it. From the reactions I've seen, I doubt I'd take a second sip.
You can get the bacon flavoring by itself, too. All you have to do is ask.
Got milk and bacon - sounds like it'll be great for breakfast!
I thought I was just really high and misheard when the guy asked me that Monday night.
I want to try it, but I won't spend money on it.
Listened to Glenn Beck tell of his experience with it. Sounds interesting but not worth going out of my way to try. Nearest Jack in the Box is three hundred miles away.
Ice cream - love it! Bacon - love it! Together, not so much. :-p
Well, I like bacon, and I like milkshakes. I might as well give it a try!
I'd be willing to try a sip to see how it tastes. But I would not pay for one, or drink/eat a whole one.
i'll try anything once.
Ummm...maybe a sip, but can't imagine actually buying one. Love bacon, but can't see how this would be any good.
@wormburnr: And if ever there was a reliable source of rational and unbiased information, certainly it would be Glenn Beck!
ew. but yes.
Um, no? I can imagine having bacon bits on ice cream--salty and sweet together is pretty good--but I can't quite wrap my head around drinking bacon.
I love bacon. That being said after trying the Jones bacon soda, I will never again drink bacon flavored anything!
No thanks and I LOVE bacon.
No. I just couldn't. It's just wrong on so many levels. I don't care how yummy it is, my mind rejects it.
Went in to try one last week, and their Ice Cream machine is broken.
Not cool local JiTB.
I will not eat anything made from or tasting like meat through a straw. I refuse to suck my meat.
I just consumed one of the new Bacon Flavored Shakes from Jack in the Box. I expected it to be hideous, but it was actually kind of tasty. I would not, however, describe it as bacon flavored. It tasted more like maple syrup with perhaps a hint of smokiness. At points I thought it tasted like a light coffee flavor. Perhaps a very vague bacon after-taste, but only because I was looking for it. When I belched a little later, it was definitely a maple flavor.
I would love to try it.
Enjoying one right now and I gotta tell yah, it's delicious. I'm not a fan of bacon to begin with but this shake turned out exactly how I imagined it. It's got a sweet maple syrup-y taste with a really faint taste of bacon as if it's been covered in brown sugar. I definitely recommend trying it!
