What would you do if you found a gift card you forgot about?
In what's an early gift from the Hanukkah Armadillo, while cleaning out my desk drawer I found a Visa gift card AND an eBay gift card. They are from last year, which I seem to of put away and promptly forgot about.
I'm tempted to use one to buy myself something, and the other to spend on some last-minute gifts for others. What would you do?
I would check the balance on each card. Then I would figure out if I need to buy more gifts for the holidays, if not I would go get some gas in my car with the Visa GC. With the Ebay GC I would buy something I need or want!
And, if I was feeling generous I would give them as a gift to my brother and sister.
It'd be an early Christmas. :)
Put them in an envelope, and mail them to me:

Tis better to give than receive.
Spend it like I stole it!
@ryanwb: Yes.. but these were given to me, so I guess the givers gave to me so I'd give to myself and receive to myself.
Or something.
Hanukkah has its own armadillo?
Check to see if they are still valid. I had two $50 Visa gift cards expire before I got a chance to use them.
@moondrake: I did check.. still valid and full of money!
Do hookers take gift cards?
@spacezorro: Not sure. Better question may be if they give them. That would be an interesting stocking stuffer.
Since my shopping is done, I'd probably use the Visa to buy gift a card at Amazon. I'd buy the email ones, where I get to choose my own $$ amount then use the code I received to put on my Amazon account. The, as the months go by, I'd either buy presents for someone's birthday/anniversary or something that I wanted.
@southcutt: Of course! For those of us who collect armadillo stuff, it's a treasure trove!
I white-elephanted mine.
The same thing I'd do if I found a $20 bill in my sock drawer.
