How many questions do you have to ask to raise the meter?
One, if it is a really, really good question.
You'll find lots of folks who don't understand that the calculation favors quality over quantity - asking three or four questions a day won't actually help you, in fact, you'll find there is a definite point of diminishing returns.
Check the leaderboard - the top questioners have asked very few questions.
Though, that's no fun. Ask as many interesting questions as you can to get the most out of the site.
Once upon a time the calculations favored deal related questions and fluff questions only counted a little.
One. And it doesn't even have to be all that great.
Just remeber that there are diminishing returns... Unless you have the knack for asking very, very good questions, I'd suggest asking no more than two or three questions a week if your goal is a Black triangle. (I ask one about every four days on average.)
Don't forget the sizable time delay in the reputation system. Things you do today will usually only have an impact 2 days from now.
Seven.
