Freaks and Geeks. Only one season, which was a real shame.

vote-for16vote-against

Undeclared and Arrested Development. There's always money in the banana stand.

vote-for4vote-against

Show called "Surface" - it came out in the midst of the LOST and Desperate Housewives phenomenon, didn't stand a chance.

vote-for3vote-against

@pitamuffin: the following Appatow show Undeclared was equally good. cancelled after just 16 episodes

You can get it on DVD though. The extras are great

vote-for62vote-against

Firefly was fantastic and was killed way before its time.

vote-for13vote-against

As a kid i was devastated when Salute Your Shorts was cancelled.

vote-for8vote-against

I really liked The Cape when it was on TV. If you didn't see it, it was a superhero show that got cancelled after one season. Alas, another good show with Summer Glau taken down too soon IMO.

Quick question: are we allowed to say Arrested Development since it's supposed to come back next year?

vote-for4vote-against

@captainsuperdawg: Until it's back, it's not back. Always a chance that something can happen.

vote-for6vote-against

@narfcake: that's 1 show that never had a chance. Ted was one of my favorites and ABC cancelled it so they could keep Cougar Town? WTF is that about?

Also, Good Guys. Man, that was a great show!

vote-for8vote-against

i miss Lie To Me and Human Target

vote-for5vote-against

@narfcake: I loved Better Off Ted too, it was so funny.

Also Kath and Kim was hilarious, it should still be on...

I double down on Firefly and Jericho. I wish Millenium was allowed to run its course, but I'm glad it was given an episode of the X Files to use for wrap-up. I wish Dollhouse hadn't squandered its first season in aimless and silly one-shots, leaving only one season to get down to business and tell its story.

I was also enjoying the Nine Lives of Chloe King-- it wasn't groundbreaking but I found the characters and storyline engaging.

vote-for6vote-against

Rome on HBO. It was one of my favorites. So rich in both time and culture accuracy with amazing set/wardrobe. Unfortunately all of that was part of the reason it ended after season 2; production was too expensive. :(

vote-for19vote-against

Farscape
Dead Like Me
Pushing Dasies
Journeyman
Kings

Pretty much every show I like is canceled before it's run its full course...

vote-for37vote-against

Firefly
Heroes
Deadwood
Dead Like Me

vote-for13vote-against

I 4th Firefly

And Better off Ted

vote-for8vote-against

I triple up with Jericho and Firefly, also The Event
The Journeyman was good also, almost forgot about that one, Thanks @drjing

vote-for17vote-against

The Dresden Files.

One of the more creative series I've seen.

vote-for12vote-against

I'm in for another vote to Jericho and Firefly, and add to it "The Adventures of Brisco County Jr".

vote-for3vote-against

@drjing Kings was very good. I forgot about it until you mentioned it. That show had a lot of potential.

vote-for9vote-against

The terminator tv show. Even though it seemed like it was beginning to engage in some shark-jumping towards the end.

vote-for6vote-against

Life ...The storylines were great

vote-for4vote-against

Heroes all the way! The second season got bad, but they came back with a decent third and an awesome fourth season, and I was pretty bummed when I heard it was over.

vote-for13vote-against

I agree with most of these:

Firefly
Better off Ted
Jericho
Arrested Development
Buffy/Angel
Dollhouse
Futurama

I'm sure there are others out there that Fox has canned that I'm just not thinking of.

vote-for9vote-against

Agree with a lot of these:
Better off Ted
Jericho
Pushing Daisies
Journeyman
Invasion
Rome
Dollhouse - as was said, they needed to do more with the mythology in the first season and not wait until there was no hope. Same with the Terminator series, needed to speed things up a bit.
One that is coming up on the end that I will miss is Eureka. Love that show!

vote-for4vote-against

Do I answer, or just upvote the answers I agree with?

Everything by Whedon has died too young.
Even the series' that have run long such as Buffy & Angel.
They pulled Angel right after their 100th episode, and they had to wrap it up quickly starting mid-season if I remember correctly.

I could have watched another decade or two of X-Files.
I swore I was going to quit watching TV when X-Files left the air.
I couldn't do it, but I still mourn. I had a parrot that did the X-Files intro :(

vote-for3vote-against

I'll add some new ones but first I have to agree w/ Dead Like Me and Good Guys.

I'd like to add Sports Night & Studio 60

Though its not yet canceled I'll throw in Eureka

vote-for5vote-against

Deadwood This was my all time favorite show. Lots of stars, great plot, lots of surprises.

vote-for4vote-against

@dcpotts: I think Buffy had run its course. I really really wish Angel would have gone on for a bit longer, sort of. I wouldn't really want to watch it without Wesley.

vote-for4vote-against

Carnivale. Really was getting interesting before an abrupt end.

vote-for4vote-against

Mr Wizard
Greg the Bunny
The Tick
Stargate Universe
Hell Date

vote-for6vote-against

Pushing Daisies
The Gates (not a super favorite but was fun to watch)
Picket Fences

vote-for5vote-against

Secret Life Of Machines
Ren and Stimpy

vote-for2vote-against

@woothulhu: Amazon on demand has Mr Rogers, you can watch the episodes free if you have Prime.

vote-for1vote-against

Carnivale
Arrested Development
Flight of the Conchords (if this counts because I don't think it was cancelled)

I really wanted to like Jericho and Heroes, but they were both pretty terrible.

vote-for10vote-against

Tons of great ones already posted so instead of repeating I'll add a couple to the list.

Outsourced
Great little show no idea why it didn't last. I loved the humor though I do admit some episodes were much better than others. http://www.nbc.com/outsourced/

Also Daria. I don't know why but I really enjoyed that show.

There were some more I know but I can't think of what they were right now.

vote-for7vote-against

Man, tons.

Mission Hill, The Oblongs, Futurama (though that has been uncancelled), Firefly, Dilbert was surprisingly good, I just recently watched the whole series, Heroes...

There's definitely more, but those are just a couple.

EDIT: oh, also Dead Like Me

vote-for3vote-against

Firefly
Family Guy - Then it was brought back, then cancelled again, then back again
Better Off Ted
The Cape
Heroes - Could have gotten way better
No Ordinary Family
Greg the Bunny
Blue Mountain State - I think it's cancelled?
The EVENT - an awesome cliffhanger
Stargate
Stargate Atlantis
Stargate Universe
Caprica !!!
Kyle XY
Futurama
The Venture Bros
Frisky Dingo - I think is done

vote-for7vote-against

First one to come to mind is Life. Completely amazing. Rewatched it on netflix a few weeks back and the whole time I just kept thinking "WHY WAS THIS CANCELLED". Caps and all.

Better Off Ted was also great.

And, of course, Firefly.
