Bug: can't see comments on deals

I've tried to find a pattern...and I think this is only happening on new deals. There are some deals where comment count is >0, but I can't actually see them. And if I comment, I also can't see that one. I vaguely remember this happening before...

Even weirder...when I just submitted this question, a comment below it appeared. It was one of MY comments that I made on some deal. Strange...

And the deal (http://deals.woot.com/deals/details/3fa9ee58-b583-4699-bf5a-90034bf2856b/school#1) shows 2 comments. Including the comment I made just before in this thread. I'm confused. But I have also had a 100+ fever for two days. So I apologize if I am just delirious!

This discussion http://deals.woot.com/questions/details/1689b8fa-3697-41e4-b6c6-a2f57678a2ff/bug-new-comments-temporarily-appear-on-the-wrong-deal-question touches on the reason that you saw another comment you made temporarily appear on this new question. In fact I'm looking at the last comment I made through the dark gray as I leave this one. It'll go home soon.

Also, this one won't show up right away after I leave it. If you click the questions --> bug: can't see comments on deals link on top, it'll refresh the question page. after a click or two things seem to go to normal.

I've noticed before this, though, that the comment count will be off. I'm not sure what that thread is to be able to find it, though.

@shawnmiller indicated that they were looking into the first issue. I don't recall what resolution -- if any -- came of the comment count being off.

[edit] I see 2 comments on the deal you linked. Could be a result of the lag. I don't blame your fever. ;)

Whew!... I thought I was getting to be a little loopy too! Too much work and no play makes for a bad combo.

Anywho, I noticed the comment count being out of sync also (i.e. one more comment being shown in count than actually appear) - however, I'd only noticed it as of today, and perhaps yesterday.

The stray comments, however, are just a happy residual issue that seems to be plaguing us all. I'm not sure what exactly is the cause, or what's in the plans to resolve it:

Edit: Dash-it-all, the ghosting and delays are making this impossible! I didn't even get to see the prior posts by @perkalicious11 and @fidett, so my link is apparently a duplicate... sheepish

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
