I plan on it. An excellent Mexican restaurant about 1-1/2 blocks from here is having an anniversary sale....50% off already reasonably-priced meals.

Is AmEx giving us a $25 credit for doing so again? If so, yep! If not, I won't go out of my way to do so.

Probably, I already shop a lot of 'small businesses' when I go to the flea markets. There is a place that sells the best dip mixes, and they are local to me. They also sell pickles and salsa now, and I tend to buy theirs before anyone elses.

Also, there are several other local people selling there, and I will buy all their yummy foods.

As for small stores, I shop those over big box stores for a lot of things as well. Why not help the little guy out, and a lot of times (as in the case of a local lumberyard), their product is far superior to the big box stores anyway! A little more expensive, but for better quality lumber, it's the way to go!

I will be. And Amex already did the giveaway. Just another 25 to spend

No, I won't. But then again, as an Orthodox Jew, I don't really do any shopping on Saturdays...

If there is a deal, and I want it, and it's local. Yep. But, that goes for any day of the week.

@sadsephiroth: What do you mean they already did the give away? You get a statement credit after spending $25+ on Small Business Saturday.

FYI: I have no clue what @sadsephiroth is talking about. They are doing the $25 statement credit again. Registration opens 11/18.

I'll probably be working at a small business that Saturday.

Doubt it, as I try to stay out of all stores over the long Thanksgiving weekend and every weekend thereafter until the New Year. My local recreational shopping is done during the rest of the year when I don't have to battle crowds and lines. Whatever I haven't already purchased for the holidays will likely be purchased online from the safety a̶n̶d̶ ̶s̶a̶n̶i̶t̶y̶ of my home.

Yup, I'll be tagging a xmas tree at my local tree farm.

@kylemittskus: They do a giveaway each year where u can win a 25 amex gift card for those of us who do not have amex. This giveaway has already been done and the cards will arrive before that saturday.

I try to shop local as much as possible (or small business online), but thank you for the reminder!

If I have money. I usually try and support the little guys, hence why I have no money.

@abramokids: The day starts and ends at sundown for you guys doesn't it? Does that mean you could do some shopping on the correct side of sundown and still be observant? Not being cheeky, genuinely curious.

@kylemittskus: Will you post this on the 18th as a deal?

vote-for2vote-against

@moondrake: You are absolutely correct. About an hour and change after sundown, it is permitted to resume weekly activities. ...Although I usually just hole up in my room and catch up on youtube videos from the previous 25 hours. No time for shopping. THE INTERNET AWAITS!

(I had a feeling somebody would call me out on that haha)
