I will probably get the Asus TF701 and get my mother the Lenovo k3011. I have the Asus TF700 and love it, but you can never have too many tablets.

@pyxientx: That Asus tablet does look really nice.

Anyone else looking for any other tablets?

Not sure, need one for a trip we are taking, but don't know which would be best.

I guess I'd buy an iPad air if I found one on the cheap. Any other iPad and I would probably just look for a used one. I'm not really an Apple fanboy, but after having both an android and iOS device I have to say that I like the iOS environment more.

Either an updated Droid 7" tablet or the iPad mini. Is there an iPad Air Mini coming?

@first2summit: They just refreshed the iPad (to the iPad air) and the mini. I don't think there will be another mini refresh until next October or so.

I have the sony 9 inch tablet and love it! Purchased on woot last year. Expanable memory slot also.

@first2summit: Yes, it's the iPad Air Mini S Pro with retina display and the A25 chip. but don't jump on that I heard a color model is coming out in January.

MS surface pro. will replace your laptop completely, and be a very robust tablet as well.

Much more expensive than a traditional tablet, however (but also much more usable IMO. Both my ipads and droid tablets are collecting dust since i got mine.

Nexus 10...just waiting to hear for sure it will get KitKat.

@ddarch88: Any word on whether there is supposed to be a new one this month? Didn't the Nexus 10 come out last year around this time? It would be nice if they came out with a new one and the price dropped a little more on the old one. I really do like the Nexus 10 (aside from its unfortunate lack of an SD card slot).

I will be watching for what my fellow Wooters think is a good tablet, as I enjoy mine but have little knowledge about them. The ASUS TF101 I bought two years ago is having some problems, so my plan to give it to my mom to use for playing cards is down the tubes. So I will be looking for a good one for myself, 9" or 10" priced at $300 or less, and something 7", inexpensive and reliable for card games for my mom. I'm hoping to find something in the $50 range in the next few weeks that would fit that bill. It needs to be quite simple, my mom has Alzheimer's so she isn't very teachable, but she loves to play cards on her decrepit laptop. I would be glad to hear advice on either or both purchases.

Got our answer...I'll be buying last year's version to save big bucks now that i know it's getting Kitkat

What do you guys think about this deal over on Moofi today?

@tjfrit01: Thanks for pointing that out, it's very tempting. I have worked my ASUS TF101 into the dirt. I'll be interested to hear what others here have to say about it. Is Ice Cream Sandwich way out of date, though?
