What's going to be the hard to get item this season? The Kindle Fire? Another Elmo craze maybe?

Ipads. I would guess that or some kind of good feature/inexpensive android tablet.

No clue.

The little J's are well past the point of toys. They want cash.

Mrs. J wants some more of those shoes with the red soles... Her gift to me will be not telling me what they cost.

Then we'll do the usual Christmas tradition: Eat a quiet dinner at home, pile on the couch and watch our traditional christmas-night movies, starting with "South Park the Movie" then "Talladega Nights"

Then on Dec. 26th, I get my gift: They all go to my mother-in-law's until New Year's and I get the house all to myself for 4 days!

@phizzo: I'm not going to bet on iPad or android tablets. iPads are just too expensive to be IT and android tablets aren't solid enough to be mainstream yet. Next year, I'm thinking you're right, however.

@gregorylikescheapstu: I think you might be right but I would imagine a lot of retailers advertising the iPad as a "family gift". I don't think they will go tickle me elmo and be worth 10x the price but I could see a good sale from retailers on a black friday making their supplies scarce until Christmas. I am also guessing there will be some black friday $99 tablet that will be good enough to justify a purchase and no one will have them.
