My Girlfriend is in love with the fact that the Lorax is coming out. My favorite Dr Seuss Books are Yertle the Turtle or One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish.

I do not like green eggs and ham I do not like them sam I am.
Favorite book = Green Eggs & Ham but I really enjoyed the animated presentations of Cat in the Hat and Horton Hears a Who.
Oh, The Places You'll Go! is one of the most inspiring books out there. A great message for little kids as well as adults.
We all have opinions about industrialized society..but I loved 'The Lorax' since I was a kid. 'Green Eggs and Ham' is another favorite.
Can you really pick just one? There were so many good ones.. I'd say all of them :-)
Did I Ever Tell You How Lucky You Are?
First book I remember receiving as a kid. It was a grocery store promotion for, I think, toothpaste. I love the pictures and the obsurd situations which really do remind me that my life really is really good.
I'm also with green eggs and ham! Awww the elementary school memories...
The Lorax... and I'm none too happy they are making a dumb movie of it. But, at least it's not "live action".
Here are my favorite "alternative" Dr Seuss book titles:
(Posted on George Takei's FB fan page (you know, Sulu) -- he's pretty hilarious)
@mellielou: Here's another like it:
On Beyond Zebra explore like Columbus, discover new letters, like Um is for Umbus.
Though I must say FLOOB (Floob-Boober-Bab-Boober-Bubs) is my favorite.
Hands down favorite Dr. Seuss book would have to be The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.
I think my favorite is:
To Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street
but a close second: The Sneetches
The Lorax and The Sneetches!
This is actually one of my favorite ice breaker questions.
I'd have to answer Horton Hatches the Egg. "I meant what I said and I said what I meant. An Elephant's faithful, one hundred percent!"
Good Night Moon
The Lorax.
I, too, am not looking forward to the movie adaptation after seeing the trailer.
My favorite Dr. Seusss? Man, being asked to pick just one is hard, but I have to nominate one of his last:
You're Only Old Once
http://www.amazon.com/Youre-Only-Once-Obsolete-Children/dp/0394551907
I bought this for my mother when it first came out (in 1986), and it was so funny, I bought a couple more, keeping one for myself.
As a child of the Cold War, I'd have to say, "The Butter Battle Book", with "The Lorax" a close second. Gotta love subversive children's lit.
The Butter Battle Book.
There's a Wocket in my Pocket and To Think that I Saw it on Mulberry St.
Whoops. Did not get off the phone in time to edit. Good Night Moon - Margaret Wise Brown. My bad. I would have to join in on Green Eggs and Ham. There is also a Oh The Places You Will Go that came out for retired people, or maybe I am thinking of the one Shrdlu referenced above. For awhile, it was in every doc's office I visited with my Dad.
I think mine is One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish, though Green Eggs and Ham is also high on the list.
I Can Read With My Eyes Shut was my favorite growing up. When my daughter was little, her favorite was One Fish, Two Fish. But the favorite all time childrens book, though not Dr. Suess is still this one.
For all the Green Eggs and Ham fans:

I would answer if I could.
I'm not so sure that I should.
If some consider my answer bad,
that would make me very sad.
So my favorite Seuss book I will not say,
So I do not ruin someones day.
