questionsdo you still play classic console games?

I still play a lot of old games.

For NES/SNES: Zelda, Tetris, Mario, Startropics, Mario Kart
For Sega: Sonic, and Mortal Kombat
N64: Starfox, Zelda, BattleTanx

But I play them on the original consoles. Not a big fan of the emulators, especially when I have all the consoles. :)

Depends on whether you'd consider my MAME cabinet a "console".

When I'm in the mood to play some classics it's usually stuff like Choplifter, 10 yard Fight, or Donkey Kong Jr.

I play on the original NES as well. Super Mario Bros. 2 is still my favorite game. I purchased about 7 NES consoles on ebay about two years ago (dont ask me why, little crazy!) and they all work well. I need to get rid of a few of them :).

Yes, on my Xbox 360 I play Joust, Paperboy and Defender all the time.

@conanthelibrarian: So can we expect to see them back on EBay?

well i still have my snes, genesis, nes, c64, n64, dreamcast all hooked up. So I am gonna say yes. I still scour auctions and local garage sales/goodwills for games. I have run out of space and am waiting for my roomate to take off so I can turn that room into a game room (ohh and buy a Neo Geo MVS cab)

I was going to buy and hack a Wii due to it being able to play everything (except a few N64 games) and then I realized I can just build a new computer and be set for a few years instead.

But yeah I've been trying to catch up on my backlog of games....

It's been building up since I was 16 and had my first job. I'm literally still trying to beat a few NES/SNES RPG's before tackling PS1 games.

I play my little cousins some old Atari games, like Asteroids and Space Invaders.

only when i get drunk...i tend to get nostalgic and find the games online or use my emulators and roms.

I have a computer hooked up to my TV for this purpose. It also doubles as my TV recording machine.

I have Atari, NES, SNES, N64, Genesis, Gameboy, and Playstation games on it. I have the original cartridges for all, so I "own" the games (a bit of a legal grey area).

While having authentic controllers would be nice, I use a wireless "Dual Shock" style controller (like PS2). It matches well enough for all but N64, but I hate the N64 pad anyway.

I love the classic Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog games, which is most of what I play. The bonus of playing emulated is that there are hacked ROMs out there that have all new levels and content. It's like being able to get brand new games for the Super Nintendo or Sega Genesis. There are complete start to finish remakes of Super Mario World and Sonic the Hedgehog.

But I don't stop there - New Super Mario Wii, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Sonic Generations, and Super Mario 3D Land are all brand new games that keep the tradition alive.
