it depends, Id do some research. I bought a really cheap ZEKI pre rooted ics tablet for 99 at Kmart ...followed instructions on a website to get google play. LOVE IT. I have purchased a Coby previously and it was awfully slow and froze alot. i usually read what other people say about the product first before I buy

the tablet is probably not worth the money you are paying if it is a Chinese knockoff without Google Play permission anyway. Something like the Kindle Fire may be worth the money if you root and change it, but honestly, a name brand tablet can be had for a good deal these days.

This all depends on what kind of person you are. If you like to tinker then it might be worth it. If you're the kind of person that wants to buy something off the shelf and have it work exactly like you want it to, then it might not be for you.

If you have a lot of free time and like to hack, go for it.

I'm really curious as to what constitutes "bed connectivity". I feel like I'm missing out on something here.

It really depends. You would be a fool not to grab a Touchpad for the price they were going for if you were looking to root something.

On the other hand regardless of how cheap a G-Tablet is now I dont think it is worth it to root.

So it really depends on the lifespan of the device.

@samstag: As Bart once said to Lisa Simpson who was sitting for him, "I thought you said, 'Go to Bread.'"
