Why does Woot sell stuff I can buy from the nearest Dollar General?

The difference is that if it's crap Woot either says it's crap or expects us to do so. Other stores seem to dislike that ...

Yeah, like what? I have to admit I have never been inside a Dollar General store but it would be awesome to save the 5 bucks shipping on a 47" TV and have it the same day. Or Shun knives or a laptop even. Callaway golf shoes? Eh, not so much, I don't golf.

I have yet to see Woot sell expired vitamins, or 1-ply toilet paper. But, if they do.. in for 3!

Geez, why so negative?

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
