Living in North Texas I never look forward to it warming up. The winters aren't terribly cold here and they don't last near long enough. We've already had days in the upper 80's (I think we hit 90 once or twice). If we don't get more rain this "spring" it's going to get blazing hot much sooner and likely stay that hot for much longer than I'm comfortable with. In fact, in the summer, I'm more likely to want to do things indoors because it's just so incredibly hot (100+ for much of the day with mild to moderate humidity just isn't fun for anyone).

Very true...this time of year, I'd be headed down to Hueco Tanks to do some climbing if I were in your neck of the woods!

Agree re N TX rather, too hot too soon. But this week is nice.

Yes, a bit, but more snow expected next week (NH). Can't wait for the sand and salt to get off the roads so I can put the top down on the Mustang and just cruise!

We saw 80+ today....first time in months. I'm ready to get outdoors and exercise.

When the weather is warmer, we show movies in a 'backyard theater'.

That, and getting to use my wood shop again, which is my patio in acceptable weather.

I'm most excited to be able to run in shorts and t-shirt again.
At least once a year I try to go on backpacking/flyfishing trip to beautiful Seneca, WV. We pack in about 5-7 miles and flyfish all weekend. It's difficult, but incredible at the same time.

pfffft! It's been moving in and out of upper-70's for the last 6 weeks here. We usually get only 9 days of actual "spring" before way-too-hot-and-too-long summer sets in, so I try to enjoy spring when it's really here. Meanwhile, we take what pleasure we can in faux-spring.

I enjoy checking out my garden to see what plants are poping up and trying to remember when I put them in!!!!!

Snowed a bit yesterday, but I know Spring is around the corner. Looking forward to wearing shorts, and not having to put anything over my t-shirt before I leave the house.

Also looking forwarding to redoing my garden, kayaking, and just general putzing around outside.

It's snowing here too & we're below our average temps for this time of year, but hopefully it'll warm up soon. I agree about wanting to not have to wear a heavy winter coat, but I'm not looking forward to my allergies starting up anytime soon!

@johnnys13: Hueco Tanks is my neck of the woods, far west Texas. It was in the high 80's yesterday, already getting too hot to take the dog to the dog park after 10am. I don't mind the heat so much, I don't like the cold. What I am not lookig forward to is the return of mosquitoes. I love being outside and having my house open, but soon the little suckers wil drive me behind closed doors.

I live in NW MT, home of black & brown bears, which are coming out of hibernation now. During this 'shoulder season' between skiing & paddling we are generally occupied with busy work around the house and getting our various gear out & inspected before the warm weather hits. Hiking is not recommended yet, since the bears have young and are very hungry. We'll start taking the kayaks (big-ass touring boats) out as soon as conditions allow, but the snowmelt is frigid and water levels are rising. Camping is fun now since the weather is a little chilly for tourists but the campgrounds are mostly empty.
