Is anyone else just sick of the dvd/blu-ray deals?

I mean, I would never call for some kind of restriction like the lingerie kerfuffle. But it seems to me that physical media is getting cheaper and cheaper and even for a movie I like but don't own, I don't think I'd spend $6.00.

I've seen too many tech companies come and go to trust my data to "the cloud". That physical dvd or blu-ray disc (or dead-tree book) is going to sit on my shelf forever, and I'll always be able to play it, even if I have to go to Goodwill to buy a player.

Nope. Bought a couple of Blu Rays for Christmas gifts, now I have to load them up with something to watch.

Not to mention, we live out here in the sticks. You know, no cell phone service, no broadband. So the streaming thing doesn't work for us, we need the physical media.

Geez, why so negative?

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
