What childhood fun do you still sometimes take part in?
back long ago when we were children (even though some of us were told "you were old when you were five") we use to do things that we have now given up as "adults". which ones do you still enjoy when no one is looking? doing a cartwheel thru the sprinklers? an extra helping of icecream on a hot day? hugging a favorite plushie? imagining what a trip to the moon might be? something else?
I just made a blanket fort with my friends kids. Also I own toys intended for 2-3 year olds that I bought for myself. I'm a child.
Ice cream and amusement parks.
Cedar Point is the best!
Jumping on the bed...it's the first thing I do when we check into a hotel :)
@ohcheri: but knowing you and your hubby and your business i can't help but wonder if this form of jumping is the same one you did when you were five.
Never pass up an opportunity to blow bubbles, esp. with all the fun bubble guns and glasses (so you can see them in 3d!) or try to keep a hula hoop going around.
I sleep with a cuddle pillow (Brobee from Yo Gabba Gabba-- I love the show.). I love running through the sprinkler. Drawing with chalk on the sidewalk. If I lived near a beach I would love to build sandcastles.
I'm basically a little kid in a grown up's body.
I consider myself a tall kid with a big allowance and no curfew.
I decorate my house with Mr Potato Heads and Lego models, often season appropriate. Which means I get to play with my toys and call it "redecorating". I keep silly putty, yo-yos and juggling balls around and regularly use them. I love to blow bubbles and even took some to the bus stop when meeting my nephew at the bus a few weeks ago (he's in 3rd grade). I got there early and spent some time sitting on the sidewalk chatting with the other big people, blowing bubbles. I like to draw dinosaurs, especially when I get out my big box of 100+ crayons. I've been known to skip through store parking lots and go visit the playground to play on the swings or go down the slide. I'm seriously considering renting out a bouncy house place for my birthday.
This work is a serious, difficult place at times. There are a lot of serious, responsible things that we all have to do. That just makes it more important to goof off and have fun.
I definitely blow bubbles and climb trees :)
@gt0163c: got a debate going in my house: are you male or female? and is the a significant other residing with you?
my dh and i have the entire house decorated in garfields and mr. potatoheads. as the season changes the wreath on the door gets different characters in it-flag waving for fourth of july, pumpkin wearing for thanksgiving, etc. and yes, there are even a few plushies that share the bed.
@moosezilla: I'm female. And I don't currently have a significant other.
