Can we get Woot referrals?

I don't know how many times it happens a month. I'm out on the town partying it up and someone goes "Hey I love your shirt, Where can I buy one?" and I say "Hot Topic (I really love my Edward Cullen Shirt), but if you want really cool shirts you should go to shirt.woot.com. I'm honestly curious if any of them have come to the site. It would be nice to see a number like quality posts.

I talk up shirt.woot alot but most of the shirts that people want are the ones that have already been reckoned.

@wisenekt: Ditto, though at least Woot has the reckoning where folks at least have a chance to purchase the same shirts later. I tried explaining Teefury to one friend, who still couldn't grasp the concept that a shirt is sold for one day only - and that's it.

As for how many folks ended up coming here after I told them about it ... I have no idea, but I hope there's at least a count to it. I mean, I wear a different Woot shirt almost every day, y'know ...

How would the site track a referral to a specific user? Would you say to people, "Go to shirt.woot.com and tell them gideonfrost sent you"?

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
