Should I wait until after Christmas to find an inexpensive, small (13"-15") monitor with hdmi input?

I have a MacBook with a broken screen but can use my 42" TV as a monitor...kind of overkill. I've found a few 15" monitors or HDTVs with HDMI inputs. I figure these will drop in price this January, so I'll likely wait.

I would wait after Christmas too. Make sure that the HDTV can act as a monitor. Basically make sure it has a given x by y resolution, so your macbook will detect that and the display will autosize to the monitor.
