Would you get a DNA or finger print portrait?
Have you ever heard of DNA or finger print portrait art? The basic idea of this type of art involves taking your DNA or Finger print and applying it in portrait form, in an artistic way, would you pay to have this done to your DNA or finger print, and doesn't it seem a little strange?
not only strange but silly too.
why would you want to advertise (which is what a picture basically is) something that is supposed to be so personnal?
@moosezilla: I agree 100%. But, some of the designs are pretty cool :) I personally would never do it.
Didn't they have a sponsored deal for these not to long ago?
yes. just for the chance, when the wife says "what's wrong with you!?", to point to a specific place on the DNA portrait and say "right there!"
Plus it could help the police identify your body.
Not as art, but I have been playing around with the idea of tracing my genetic ancestry using https://www.23andme.com/. This is the same company featured on PBS' Finding Your Roots hosted by Louis Henry Gates,Jr. And then paranoia & fear of The Man creeps in. I wonder if fear of ones government is genetic?
@carl669: Ha ha, nice one.
@moosezilla: Because the average person can't interpret the painting, so it doesn't really reveal anything to them other than it looks kinda cool.
@lavikinga: I have always thought that would be interesting as well. I'll have to keep an eye in it and see if it drops in price.
