Watch tools, are they worth the investment?
I have a small collection of watches around 30 or so and at 15 bucks a pop to replace batteries I am considering doing it myself.
Does anyone have tools they can recommend?
The precision screw drivers I have now cant do the watch bands either and I am looking for recommendations.
Thanks in advance.

You should be able to get a basic set pretty cheap (sub-$15) that should cover most basic operations. If you watches die before being lost or broken, definitely worth it.
Have basic wrench for the back from Harbor Freight. Can scratch the back if you are not careful. However, it cost me $1 per battery to change the batteries in 8 watches, so definitely worth it. For cheap tools, try meritline as well. They have sets which include the pin press.
I got a cheap set on Amazon a year or so ago depending on the watch it can be tedious to take apart. I would recommend buying a kit, fixing the watches you can, and the pros replace the batteries in the watches that are tough or expensive enough that you don't want to scratch or damage them in any way.
Short answer: yes.
It saved me a bundle of money for changing the batteries and removing links. Dynamite Time (http://dynamitetime.com/) or amazon has the kits for $10 to $20.
I have replaced batteries in my cheaper watches for some time now. Although I have always taken diving (water-proof) watches to a professional due to the seal.
@okham: I bought the set from dynamitetime specifically to remove some links from a particular watch. While the pliers, screwdrivers, etc. were worth it the watch band was too wide to fit in the press. :( Just sayin'...
