What case(s) should I look at for the iPhone 4S?

First, it looks like cases for the iPhone 4 will work just fine for the iPhone 4S, is that correct?

Second, what case(s) do folks recommend? I've had the Otterbox for the 3G I have, but it's a bit bulky for my use. Has the Otterbox gotten smaller proportionally? Are some of the $0.99 cases just as good as the non-Otterbox cases for $15-20?

I'm super excited because the Verizon iPhone cases are totally compatible with he new iPhone 4S. For really protecting your phone I suggest Trident or Incipio. They are a little more expensive than those $1 cases, but give you a lot more protection without making the phone huge and bulky!

I have been told that cases for the iPhone4 will NOT work for the iPhone 4S (at least this is true for AT&T). The overall shape of the phone is the same, but the camera lens is a different shape. The hole for the lens on iPhone4 cases is much smaller that on cases made for iPhone4S.

Well the AT&T and Verizon iPhone 4 have been different all along. The mute button on the Verizon one is a little bit lower, so a lot of cases aren't compatible. But as far as a the camera, I've heard the shape is the same. Looking at those Speck cases in the links above, it looks like just the case itself has a different cutout, not the actual phone!

The best cases for any phone are Otterbox and GoBallistic cases! These add protection not rivled by other case makers.

The Vapor iPhone 4 case should fit since it is only wraps the perimeter.

I just talked to a "Genius" at the Mac Store and they told me if I buy an AT&T iphone 4 case I will be fine. It is the Verizon one that will not work. Ugh! I'd love to pick up a case so I have it when my phone gets here but I think I'll wait to be sure...

I splurged and bought the lifeproof (lifeproof.com) version 2 phone for the 4/4S at best buy. It's nice (even though I don't plan underwater photography. haha)

... my 4S is currently in the lifeproof and fits perfectly. Having gone from the 3GS to the 4S, I can't offer too much insight as to case-fit, but from what I've read, I believe cases made for the Verizon phone ill fit the 4S. (So, I'm assuming the Otterbox defender Universal cases will work.)
