why are there so many eyeglass sales?
why are there so many xbox live 12 month card sales?

this is a deals site, if someone thinks an item and it's current price are a deal, post them.

At what point does it become ridiculous though? I can put up my grocery store's local add every week, but is that reasonable?

not everyone has the same taste. and they are good deals (mostly).
and i have to agree with @kamikazeken and @inkycatz why is one product deal any worse to have lots of than others and the internet is awsome!

In fact, based on your reasoning, lingerie deals are one of the things that repeat the least, while flash drives, micro SD cards, Xbox live memberships and DVD and Blu-ray deals repeat almost weekly.

It really sounds like your beef is with the lingerie itself, not with whether the deals are actually deals or not.

I just counted 56 DVD deals added within the last 24 hours vs 4 lingerie deals. So how many is too many?

I don't have a problem with lingerie. In fact, lingerie is awesome. Maybe I'm just seeing it voted up every time when i'm looking for good deals.

@ohcheri is an active member of the deals.woot community. ALL of the items she posts are good to great deals. She also has an extremely good reputation of providing excellent customer service.

When you add the above to the pictures of extremely attractive and scantily clad women, it isn't surprising that her deals get voted up. (They would get voted up even higher if it were not for the people who downvote her deals because they feel that lingerie deals should not be posted on deals.woot.)

You've made no mention of the many duplicate deals, the single item garage sales on ebay, the overpriced leftover products, the sites with large hidden shipping and handling charges or even the sites that attempt to harvest your personal info. Do you actively look for items and posts that you don't like? Is there a problem with the heterosexual lifestyle? Or do you believe in the "don't ask don't tell" contingent?
Enquiring minds ... don't really care.

Geez, why so negative?

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
