My understanding is that she will have to create a new account; when you pick a name here it's permanent.
BTW, welcome, @joanna26!

I don't know, but I'll be happy as long as it's not anything close to mine. Already have enough problems with people calling me Lava King. I love those Dopes.

@lavikinga: In my house, we just refer to you as the Blonde Goddess from [your home town]

@magic cave: You guys have lost your danged minds.
Forgot to tell you about the Turkey Timer. It disappeared during Christmas dinner prepping. Tracked it down in my dining room. Our little thief, Frank the Cat, had managed to snag it off the counter by the dangling cord and hurry it away to one of his hidey-holes. I never know if I have absentmindedly misplaced something or if Franklin has struck.

He's a swiper. He's on the small side for a "tuxedo cat," but has made off with a pair of scissors, a watch band, hair scrunchies, socks, a thimble and a thumb drive which contained youngest daughter's presentation for one of her classes.

It's my understanding as well that she'd need a new username. On the bright side, if she's new, she won't have to worry too much about resetting/ losing rep. If it's a seller account, I imagine that's the major issue at hand.

@lavikinga:

Greetings, Lava Vikinga! And I humbly offer best wishes to His Majesty, Franklin 1st.

@lavikinga: Don't feel bad Lava Kinga, whenever I see @belyndag, my mind fills in "Belly Nag"
:D

She would need to create a new account, with her company name as the username and ask woot to deactivate the old account. You know who would be great to answer this, as she had to do it? @ohcheri!

vote-for15vote-against

@j5: Great! That was EXACTLY the impression I was trying to make. [/sarcasm]

I wanted to change mine, too, as it is too identifiable as ME to anyone who knows me, and I wanted to post some questions that I did not want co-workers to see. I was told that the user name you initially select cannot just be changed, and that I would have to set up another account. Never quite got around to doing that. Never posted the volatile questions. Finally just retired so I can post any darn question I want! Bwahahaha!

Love and kisses,
Belly Nag

@belyndag: I still read your name as Belyn-Dag, my friend from Denmark or somewhere around that area. But Belly Nag works, too!

vote-for11vote-against

@thumperchick: That is exactly what I had to do...create a new account. She would just need to register using a different email address.

vote-for7vote-against

@belyndag: Well, truth be told, my brain reads it as "belly dang," which I think is a sight bit better than bein' an ol' nag. Don't you?

Yeah, ya hafta love our Deals Dopes. (@j5 and @f00l )

@belyndag: @lavikinga:

Thanks for being good sports about it all!

@lavikinga: Ditto. In any case, I've been called worse, and by people who know me IN PERSON! (Including a couple I've given birth to.)

@j5: Well, goofing on my name is one thing, but bandying about my good name in this community, implying one has been having an online/email flirtation with me (I've been married happily for 31 years for goodness sake), or using a supposed friendship with me to get a lady''s good graces is entirely unacceptable.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, our community has some downright unscrupulous characters lurking about. Just haven't made up my mind on how hard I'm going to bring down the thunder.

vote-for10vote-against

@belyndag: LOL! I find myself reluctant to tell friends about this site as my username is readily identifiable to them and sometimes I vent about them on here.

@lavikinga: I am completely and unequivocally scrupulous, just ask my parole officer. :)

@j5: My mind is unscrupulous, but I almost never act on what pops in my head. I will share my ideas for entertainment:

I resemble that remark!

As dopishness goes, I am a pro! Can prove it in my personal life.

@f00l: I am a serious an an effing heart attack about what I said. My reputation has been besmirched and untruths have been told to innocent parties who I do not want to see hurt.

vote-for8vote-against

@lavikinga: I have NO idea what you're talking about. So, a DWer spread rumors about you that affected you IRL?

vote-for5vote-against

@lavikinga: Joking about your screen name aside:

Hope I am innocent of wrongdoing toward you or anyone here, even if I am guilty of being foolish often.

If someone is being manipulative about you, please take action. Seriously.

Thanks everyone very much for helping me solve my problem.

@lavikinga: Sorry for the delayed response -- I totally missed the emailed heads-up notice.

My sister had a cat several years ago who would hide all sorts of stuff behind the couch. If anything was missing, that's the first place they'd look.
