Does anyone know if a Xbox 360 is region free?

Im looking to play Dvd's from amazon Uk does anyone know if this will work?

It is most likely region locked. I haven't ever played a DVD in mine, nor do I own any DVDs that have region codes outside of the US. It is region locked for games, so I don't see the DVD drive being any different.

It is not region-free. There are at least three different regions, North America, Japan, and Europe (PAL). With a few exceptions, most imported games from other regions will not play in a NA xbox, or vice versa.
