Not a chance. I tried garlic ice cream once, just for the "now I can say I did it" reason, and that was not a good decision.

I just wish there was a Burger King close to me. Haven't had one nearby in years. I miss the "onion" rings.

Having had a sundae with bacon bits sprinkled on before I can say it was pretty good, and an interesting twist. But sticking an entire slice of fast food "bacon" in a sundae isn't for me. I mean bacon goes well in many odd things, salad, bloody mary's, etc. But I think that a slice of "bacon" from BK is just going to be a pretty bad slice to begin with. I'd be down for trying it somewhere else, though.

The mere thought of it gives me a urge to hit the mouthwash. What a blech-y idea!

I'll have one bacon sundae please, hold the ice cream.

No, because I'm a snob. I'll go to one of my local ice cream shops and have a maple bacon sundae, though.

Bacon is just meat candy so why not? Just swap out the chocolate sprinkles.

I would be happy to taste one, but don't want to actually buy one with the assumption that I would like it. Doesn't sound good at all, but you never know.

Never tried garlic ice cream, but have tried Tobasco ice cream (at the Tobasco Factory, no less). Surprisingly good.

restaurants re getting out of hand. Denny's Baconalia, Wendy's Baconator, bacon sundae's.... come on. Lets put it this way, i am a pretty dedicated stoner, but even i get disgusted when i watch some Hardee's commercials. take Hardee's "ultimate grilled cheese" for example. it is 2 huge patties, completely smothered in melted cheese and bacon. first of all, lets call that what it is. not a grilled cheese, but a big nasty heart attack on a bun. those commercials will come on when i have the munchies so bad i contemplate eating shoe leather, but i still feel nauseous when i see that burger. All i can think of is how disgusting a person must be to be able to eat that thing dead sober. dont get me wrong, i love fast food. i'd eat Five Guys and Wendy's spicy chicken every day if i could. but its time for restaurants to dial it back a little and stop trying to compete to see who can cause the most adult onset diabetes. so to answer your question, No, i wouldn't touch that sunday

yes but it's only in limited areas right now. i'll try it when mine offers it. i tried the KFC double down so why not this?

vote-for3vote-against

Probably not... I tried the bacon shake at jack in the box and all I could say was.... yuck.

And this is coming from a guy who loves bacon for breakfast.

Hot bacon > cold bacon. so no, i probably won't try the bacon sundae. If you want the perfect combination of salty and sweet, sprinkle some brown sugar on the bacon before you throw it in the oven

@pitamuffin: where did you find garlic ice cream??? Eww!

vote-for3vote-against

I tried the Denny's bacon sundae and it was delicious, so I would not hesitate to try one if I ended up in a Burger King somewhere

I made something similar to the Denny's version in my ice cream maker last summer. Maple-flavored ice cream (with real maple syrup in it, of course), mixed up with bits of crispy bacon crumpled inside.

It was actually delicious. Not sure I'd trust Burger King to do it well, but it can definitely work.

@mrsbeny: The Stinking Rose, a restaurant in San Francisco that features pretty much everything garlic. I loved everything else I ate there, just not the ice cream. It tasted very strongly of raw garlic.
