What's your take on toe rings for guys?
Somehow the conversation between my wife and I turned to toe rings the other day. She made a comment how she thought they were a unisex jewelry and thought that they looked good on men, as well as women.
They seem inexpensive enough to try, but I just can't bring myself to buy and wear one.
Your opinion?
D-bag? That what it would scream to me anyway.... IMO.
@bellavampyre: Yeah that would be one of my thoughts, along with eww...
First thought is that it's a bit weird. It might have been in fashion when being metro was cool, but in my opinion toe rings are really more feminine than unisex.
@thedogma: That was my train of thought.
Let me guess, he wears Crocs too?
TOOL!
That would be one of those women only things. I had a hard enough time with the wedding band on my finger.
I find that bodily adornments are used for the purpose of attracting attention. In general, women are trying to attract men with their jewelery. If a man is wearing jewelery like that, he's looking for attention. Why else would he wear it, no fingers maybe? That's my opinion.
@miyoshinum5: Right up there with dudes wearing white socks and Birkenstocks. LOL
Or right up there with guys getting belly button rings and lower back tattoos. Kinda questionable.....
if you do, your man-card is officially revoked.
@stupimlico: I worked as a mill right, machinist, welder and drill hand. I never wore my wedding ring because I was afraid to lose a finger.
Now that I'm a stay at home dad, it feels awkward as all hell.
@matt1976: Oh I hear ya, I've always been the type to work with my hands and that was a huge concern I had when I got married. I'm getting used to it, but using some of the equipment around my shop still makes me nervous...I suppose that's not such a bad thing, once you get comfortable, that's when you hurt yourself.
