How does it all work, really?
I'm not terribly concerned, but I am confused.
I have added decently voted for deals over the last few days, voted on a few things, added questions that have had decent responses, voted up questions, tattled on expired deals, all the things to increase reputation. Yet, mine keeps dropping. Why? Any thoughts?
In short, I have done nothing different than what I have always done. Yet, now it's not having any effect.

I can't figure it out either, so i'm just here for the fun of it. At least that's what I keep telling myself...
I have no idea, I was dropping in similar fashion, figured all the rest of the black triangles had just been equally as active and awesome.
Woot's reputation algorithm is one of the biggest mysteries in life. Don't even attempt to crack it... you'll be setting yourself up for a lifetime mission.
If you look at the leaderboard, each person's rating is ~.03% lower than the one above it. That means there are ~30 people all in the 99-100% range, since no two people have exactly the same rating. I would guess your deals/ratings/questions/etc are very slightly lower than the ones above you. You may be giving it 100%, but so are a few dozen others.
When it comes to a 100% rep, there can be only one.
@claudicina: Others are doing more; it's relative. The amount of activity that was once enough to maintain your rep no longer is. The bar has been raised.
All sound like plausible answers to me. Makes sense that they want to limit how many people have high rankings.
@claudicina ??? Your REP shows a BLACK TRIANGLE (don't start) and at 97% am I missing something here?
I've gone from green to black triangle in about a week's time...who knows how long I can stay here...
Magnets.
You must make an acceptable sacrifice to the WOOT gods.
Everyone has been more active this month, especially this week. Once the holidays are over, your normal level of activity should be enough to keep your reputation where you're used to.
What came first, Chicken or the egg?...when you figure that out, you will figure out the madness that is the woot! ranking system
It goes BEEP and then you're supposed to go BOOP. Or BEEP BOOP BOP.
@gthuffines: I'm not complaining. But I'd prefer it to stay where it is. I'd like to keep getting coupons!
@claudicina: As you know, there can be only one... or in this case, only 313 (that's what the number says today, at least). I do want to point out that the things given out so far have seldom been tied to your ranking. The last one out was for activity. I got a $40 coupon for being here every day in November (and being active each of those days). I would have received that coupon had my reputation been in the low teens (although it would have been unlikely for someone to be that active, and still have that low a reputation, it isn't impossible).
Many people posted questions, and a huge number of deals, over the the past week that might normally post only a few deals. In addition, no matter what the developers might have intended, questions asked play an inordinate part in reputation. Of course, asking one that gets voted down, or just not voted up, counts against you, but the odds favor the prolific, sadly.
Just keep doing good. Virtue is its own reward. :-D
@shrdlu: Again, as always... you know just what to say. :) Thanks!
