More Sorting Options for Popular Deals?
I would really like to be able to sort Popular deals by # of comments or votes. The "Most Recent", "Month", "Week", and "Day" options aren't really that useful.
What do you think?

It appears that "Month", "Week", and "Day" options sort on votes. I'd also like a sort on comments, even though there may be some correlation between votes and comments.
@bsalusa: yes, that's correct - default view within those time selections is votes. Comments may be a missing view, though perhaps worth checking if url hack does it.
edit: no, it doesn't. I forgot - the problem is that there is no time container at all on previous popular deals so it would have to be sub-nav on the time constrained ones.
It seems like an obvious omission that Popular deals cannot be sorted by # of comments. Votes do not necessarily mean comments. I'd like to be able to see which deals are stirring up the most discussion, but as of right now that is quite difficult.
@gallowspole74: This is easy. The deal that's about the ladies undergarments. It's the deal that has the most comments all the time.
Seriously, I think that this is not as interesting a statistic as you're hoping. Deals which have a lot of comments often have people just bantering back and forth (I know this because sometimes I'm one of the banterers). Sometimes they're full of complaints about how the deal sucks, how they could have done better, or even completely unrelated things.
Walmart deals are always sure to get a flurry of comments about how Walmart is evil (no matter which way you feel on this, posting that is pointless). Over on the Fresh tab, comments are meaningful. It says there's some interest, good or bad, in whatever the product is. Once it's made it to Popular, it's over. O V E R.
If I read comments on Popular (which I often do, I read them in reverse (newest), just in case it needs to be RIPped (via Tattle).

@gallowspole74: It is what it is. Remember, all is illusion.
@shrdlu: are you hiding behind the curtain again?
@hobbit: There is never a reason for me to hide.
One recommends Maugham, and The Razor's Edge, for a secular version of enlightenment. Because I cannot resist, here's a trifle of Wikipedia:

@shrdlu: I like sitting in the grandstands and watching sometimes.
I suppose you're right about the comments--considering that most of this thread is off topic.
@gallowspole74: Not off topic. Just not what you wanted to talk about. Still, it ended up proving my point (not on purpose, but there you have it).
