Has anyone else been ripped off by Dailycheckout.com?
I ordered a camera from Dailycheckout.com on August 18th, 2011, paid via Paypal and it never shipped. They are unresponsive to e-mails, web submissions, and their telephone. I was ripped off $20. Anyone else?

Simply make a claim with PayPal and get your money back!
August 18th??? And your posting this now because....?
Almost two months ago you added a comment on a TWO YEAR OLD thread and a series of comments on a ONE YEAR OLD thread! On the latter thread http://deals.woot.com/questions/details/17341c58-e343-416f-b7f2-a79185810337/information-request-for-dailycheckout-com#14 , amazingly enough, "Roy" from dailycheckout.com replied to you almost immediately. You responded but apparently got no reply from him. You evidently hit every email address at the company several times.
They've already banned you from their Facebook page, and now you're bringing it up back here again? Is that what you meant when you posted, "I'll continue to make comments about your company until you fix the problem!"
What do you expect to gain from this question -- another opportunity to bad-mouth the company? From what I've read here and elsewhere, they have a terrible reputation, and I fully understand your frustration. However, engaging in a vendetta, especially here, is not particularly constructive.
vendettas are OK by me. I have one against gearxs.
Too late to help in this case, but don't use paypal, use a real credit card. If your item is in your hands and fully functional within 3 months, dispute the charge and let the credit card company deal with the crooks for you.
i was going to suggest trying to reach them on facebook, but their last posts were mid 2011 and there were lots of dissatisfied customers with missing orders and no replies posting too

their twitter and youtube accounts are outdated too. you tried these?

Hello there, it was my assumption that you had made a claim on Paypal and the dispute was refunded.
Since it was refunded, what is your issue?
If it has not, please email me at charlie@dailycheckout.com and I will gladly issue you a refund or send you the funds via Paypal

Are some of the users in this thread affiliated with this retailer? If so, shouldn't your usernames reflect this association?
Charlie: Your assumption is wrong. I placed a claim with Paypal, but it was beyond the 45 day claim period and they are unwilling to help. All I got from them were automated messages after a couple tries. My faith in Paypal is diminished.
I've emailed every address I could find @dailycheckout.com, including yours, multiple times. All I got was one answer that said the item had shipped. It never was. My account doesn't reflect that, and there are no tracking details.
Your customer service is abhorrent. Instead of responding to the customer complaint, you have ignored me (and others), banned me from posting on your facebook page, and a couple of times "invited" me on a public forum to e-mail you (again) to get the problem corrected.
I'll make another attempt at an e-mail for resolution and if that doesn't work, I'll repost in this thread advising others.
For the others that have posted in this thread, thank you. I also believe a couple of you are from Dailycheckout.
Is this a vendetta? Perhaps. But moreso it is a request to others that have been ripped off to speak out. This company is terrible. They didn't respond to multiple BBB inquiries and complaints.
Paypal is an "enabler" for this company to rip people off. They shut the door after just 45 days. I think most people don't realize they've been ripped off a small amount until after 8 weeks have passed. I don't believe that most people would spend the time or effort that I have of complaining about being ripped off $20. What I think about is that it is not just $20, rather it is $20 x HOW MANY PEOPLE?
Some people make a living off scamming hundreds or thousands of people just a small amount of money. I think this is part of Dailycheckout's "business plan".
They basically sell junk for junk prices, then make a couple bucks on every transaction by charging a shipping rate three or four bucks above regular postage in every transaction.
I'll report about "Charlie's" action.
Hey, I can assure you no one here is from my company. Woot has our IP's on record and we only have 2 accounts, this one and @DailyCheckout (Yes we can spoof our IP's but there's some trust that needs to go one)
About your claim, just give me your Paypal address, your Order # and the amount in this thread and I will refund you right now!
-Charlie
@cshrem: The information you ask for has been sent many times to your e-mail address. I'm not so naive that I'll post all the information you request on a public forum. Really! Do you think it is needed that I post my e-mail address onto this forum? Here is the order number:
If you need to know more, go fetch it!
