Where can I find a great deal on a kitchenaid stand mixer?
Looking for a couple kitchenaid stand mixers (shades of green). Lowest I've found is $230 with shipping, but I think the community can do better.
Which style/model are you talking about? i.e. tilt-head versus bowl-crank?
@psaux: Ideally the any of the Artisan series. The two will be gifts for women who are very color-coordination-oriented.
have you tried overstock.com?
@Hobbit: Yes, but the best deal they seem to have there is $290.
@meigeall: Go to a brick-and-mortar Bed Bath and Beyond. They sell them for $299, but they also always spew out 20%-off-one-item coupon mailers like crazy, so you probably already have some of those. If not, they usually have some inside the store. You'll have to check out two separate times, but it should knock it to $240+tax. That said, I would STRONGLY recommend against the tilt-head (artisan) style mixers. The crank-bowls are less pretty, but so much better. More horsepower, and far more robust. (One of those was the first thing I bought when I got a real job... and it's still going strong after 9 years of hard use.)
My advice is the same as immediately above.
Bed, Bath, and Beyond with a 20% off coupon.
Make sure you check out craigslist and ebay if you don't mind used. I got a $400 model for 200 on ebay and it works like a dream.
