OMG I thought this was one of us girls! I am waiting for mine, I know they are on their way here with their bags of Texas air.

Got mine yesterday. My first thought was that they looked a little mangy. Then I noticed the chest to hips ratio. Made me think of the way the first 1918 Tarzan was described... "barrel chested:

Elmo Lincoln was tagged to play the adult Tarzan, and Burroughs was not pleased with the choice. His Tarzan was a graceful yet powerful man, muscled like an Olympic gymnast. Elmo was muscled like a wrestler. Make that two wrestlers. Elmo was a huge barrel-chested man who looked like he could knock a tree over instead of swinging from one. But audiences loved Lincoln, and in typical Hollywood fashion a sequel was quickly made.

Then I took him to the bathroom and charged him up under the lights before turning them off. Woohoo. He burst forth with a mysterious green glow!

Got mine today, too. One of them is going to a friend who went ape over my monkey keychain. She has evil intentions for her monkey; I couldn't bear to part with him otherwise.

@heymo: I came over here and followed the directions that some other wooter gave to get to the monkeys....benefit of living on the east coast.

@heymo: No, I did not get the dragonfly - I have a new rule - nothing else comes in the house unless something goes out, or it is edible or is consumed in some way. It especially does not come in if it must be washed or dusted.

I did fire up all my woot-offs light yesterday - instant headache!

@thedogma: They were first spotted by people attending CES 2010, and noted in one of the many blogs they posted during that time.

It set up an excited buzz among those who value such things. I, of course, am above all that. Oh, wait, no I'm not. We pleaded, demanded, and offered bribes for those amazing potential additions to our woot monkey collections. Finally, on April 1, they arrived. Many of us were lucky to get three of them (thanks again, @anotherhiggins, wherever you are).

@heymo: I posted directions twice. Once was in the same thread where you probably saw directions to the BOC.

You're quite welcome. I just checked and mine are due to arrive tomorrow.

I'm not sure if I should let my dog play with a glowing monkey or not.... Actually if the lights are dimmed I'm not sure she'd even be willing to play with it.

The monkeys (and some other items) were actually available for purchase for several days after the first. You just needed to go to woot.com/adventure. I just checked - every item that was for sale now shows Sold Out.

got mine today. unfortunately, he was DOA. maybe woot will find it in their hearts to send a screaming monkey to hang out with his mute friend.

@theoneill555: the glow in the dark ones do smell and do look a bit mangy because their fur is treated with that glow in the dark stuff. They aren't soft and cuddly like their less glowy cousins.

@nemo728: there is a tab you need to take out so that they are no longer mute. Make sure you pull that out.
