About 13 months. I still need to send it back to Crucial for replacement but I'm not in a big hurry because old fashioned spinny drives are more reliable.

The penicillin took car of it within a week or so.

Mine's still doing okay after 3 years. I use Diskeeper's Hyperfast utility to keep up life and read/write times.

I don't have an SSD as far as I know, but it sounds like you got superior customer service!

@jsimsace: Yes, I did. I have been a long time Kingston customer, using their CompactFlash card for all professional photography use, never had any failure. The SSD I used on my research workstation for some intense math simulation (that's why I need the speed).

They are great.

I have an OCZ Vertex that has been going strong for at least 2 years of daily use.

I have 2 in Raid 0 and I've had no issues in 3 years and that's with 3 format and reinstalls of the OS and running Adobe Suits almost daily. I don't use any fancy tools for the life of it, when it dies it dies but I think people are too worried about the life of SSDs.

Bringing this thread back from the dead!

But just to update everyone from my post above, still zero issues. Fast and dependable as heck.

About 9 months. Then it bluescreened and was never to be heard from again. Lost everything that wasn't backed up. Impossible to recover these things, they either show or don't unlike the old style HDDs that would usually fail in a specific sector and if you left that area alone you could recover some things. Booooo! I;m buying a velociraptor and will feed the dead SSD corpse to it for lunch.
