What does it mean when woot says it's retiring bacon?

saw this in the newsletter:

The Last Call for Bacon Woot-Off:
August 21-22

I'm curious to see if this is an actual bacon themed wootoff, or if some of the sites will just have a bacon themed item. either way, bacon flavored toothpaste!

Yes, expect to see bacon flavored hard drives, bacon flavored TV's, and bacon flavored memory cards during this next wootoff.

I think it means that Woot is finally catching up to what the internet has known for a little while - the bacon trend is over.

I wish someone would figure this out about cupcakes.

The question is, after last week's offerings, will there be a Bacon On Croissant offered during this week's Wootoff? Last month thre was a Woot birthday BOC, but then no BOC during the July Wootoff. I guess we'll just have to wait expectantly and see what happens!

Geez, why so negative?

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
