Is anybody else at work today?

I am making up some lost time from the holiday and so I came in to work today. I was just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat, because I am certainly the only person around as far as I can see.

I hopefully will not be working this New Year's Eve or Day. (I have worked on one or both several times in the past... not a good thing.)

My name says it all. This is one of the biggest balloon holidays of the year! We'll be here until at least 2:00 pm. Even later, if they keep coming. If it gets ugly, I will just fire off a couple of confetti cannons for crowd control.

Well, since I work out of my home for my job, I guess technically I'm at work.

Now if the question is AM I working, then no. I do have to send in a end-of-month report this afternoon but all I have to do is attach the report to an email and POOF, I'm done!

@pattiq: I am glad becuase I will still get my two day weekend, since we get Monday off as a Fed holiday, otherwise I think I might have had a difficult time voluntarily coming in today.

@mcowan3: I am looking forward to a two day weekend this week. I work 6 days with Sunday off. I get the federal holiday this week (and last). It is strange to have the two days in a row for me.

@hobbitss: Nah, I got home a while ago and had a nice relaxing evening while avoiding loud, drunken crowds. That is my idea of a great new years eve. Have a great new year.

I'm in the office, but only 3 others are in the building. I'm off for the next two days, and didn't want to burn another vacation day.

Great day to either get a bunch of work done, or screw around all day. I'll likely do some of both, and kick off early.

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
