Has anyone ever been told to wait for a shipment, and it actually came?

So you order something, and it's taking longer than normal for it to arrive. So you contact customer support, and get the boilerplate "allow 3-4 weeks". Has anyone ever waited out the 4 weeks and had it actually arrive? Yes, I'll pick on Woot here. I ordered two Wine Woots on 2/27, one shipped to me and one shipped to my sister in the same town. FedEx labels were created 3/4, and hers arrived 3/6. Mine, however, is still stuck at "label created" and was never picked up. Of course, nothing's wrong, because it hasn't been 4 weeks yet.

I am picking on Woot here, but this has been true of anything I've had a shipping problem with. I get a boilerplate "wait longer", I still don't receive it, and after sitting the requisite 4 weeks, then they say, "oh, there's a problem". Never ever has anything ever just arrived late.

Actually, quite a few times. I would say more than not.

Geez, why so negative?

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
