This is the first year in many that I (so far) have no Halloween plans. That being said, I will also be looking for any reason to dress up! Even if it's just for the trick-or-treaters. I have some old mouse ears laying around, will probably just fashion something with those!

I bought a pair of the Scooby Doo pj's from a woot! plus deal, so I just might wear them over my clothes when I give out candy to the trick-or-treaters. When I was a kid I always liked it when the people handing out the candy were dress up. Otherwise, no other Halloween plans.

@lmensor: Oooh! Great idea! DH gave me a sock monkey suit last Christmas. THAT'S what I need to wear!

@belyndag: Didn't you post a picture of that over on main Woot? I thought I saw something a while back. Share? Please?

@blgauthier: Actually, DH bought one for me and one for each of my sisters. To protect the innocent (or at least to keep the peace at the next family get-together) I won't show faces, but here's a, er, rear shot with our Mom in the pic, too. Whadaya think? Good Halloween costume?

@belyndag: Yes! I remember that picture! You definitely need to wear that!! :)

I'll be wearing the Seattle Pug Rescue Mascot suit at the Pugoween fundraiser Saturday 10/26 in Lynnwood WA. I won't be wearing anything special for Halloween itself, though.

partay tomorrow night.... jello shots DONE. 100 test tube shooters DONE. Beer stocked up, bar fully stocked, fog machines ready, sound system ready to go. HOPEFULLY the neighbors won't call the cops this year!

Edit: oh yeah, I'm wearing a Merlotte's bar shirt since my wife is a vamp this halloween. I got lazy, but I'll sat least add some good looking bite marks to my neck.

Still have to set up the photobooth.... dammit.

@kamikazeken: So what time are we all to arrive?

@belyndag: DEFINITELY a winner of a costume!

@magic cave: Ha! And I will never admit which one is me!

@belyndag: The slimmer one on the far right, of course. I'd recognize that ankle anywhere.

@magic cave: Ha! None of us look slim in these monkey suits! Even the slimmest of us. Maybe this will help.

BTW, that curio on the right is the one I demolished while vacuuming for my Mom.

Halloween is my favorite holiday but I am completely tapped out for ideas and time. I seem to remember these things called weekends where I could get stuff done but they have disappeared. Not that I am working long hours at the office, but between volunteering, running the art booth, the role-playing group, and my standing social activities, I can't find two minutes to rub together to get ready for the holidays. Or even clean my poor house. I promised Simba a lion costume this year and I am determined to stop someplace this week and look for some fur (anybody got a suggestion on where to look for long tan fur?) and get his costume made by Thursday, although we attended Howl-o-wine at the vineyard yesterday with him just in his skull and crossbones black leather studded collar. People expect me to do something big for work but I have no ideas. I think I am going to default to zombie makeup and street clothes.

@moondrake: Pictures of Simba in his skulls and crossbones costume, please!

@belyndag: I'll take one tonight and post it. I also went and bought the materials to make his lion costume, hopefully I don't encounter any technical difficulties in making it as time is short. I also came up with a costume idea for myself that will be pretty gruesome if it lives up to my vision. But I am going to have to go and buy all the supplies and make it tonight as well. It's going to be a long night.
