questionsbreaking bad is getting cancelled (next season)?

Am I the only one who didn't know about this?

Apparently this is true...I just Googled it and BAM! tons of info.

Um, didn't you get the newsletter, better check your spam filter, there has been talk since last year. Ratings are good, so IDK if I'd call it canceled. or just a graceful exit, but either way I'll miss it. Best drama on TV, IMHO. After the way they left it on the last episode(which did not go at all like I expected), I can only imagine where they will go with it, but their writers are full of surprises, aren't they?

I'm almost surprised it didn't wrap up this season. I love the show but I think they'll take the graceful exit. There's only one way I can see the show going next season.

@pickypickypicky: Exactly. Not canceled, just ending the show. The story has nearly reached its end and they resisting the temptation to drag it on for several more seasons with each one getting progressively worse.

The writer Vince Gilligan only had it written out for 5 seasons. Was his plan the whole time. AMC tried to get him to do more, but he told them no. He doesn't want to drag it out.
Next season will be a split season form everything I have read. Kinda like the last season of The Sopranos. Let's just hope it doesn't end like them too.

I'm cool with it. Do it right and leave it be. Don't water it down just for ratings.

Kind of like Seinfeld... Going out on a high note! (which Seinfeld kind of failed at but that was the intent)

Well the ratings and critical acclaim decreased after Anna Gunn gained 80 pounds. She destroyed the realism of the show, and made the character of Skyler extremely difficult to write for. The fan outrage played a part in that Skyler looked completely different in a matter of hours in the storyline. If you want to blame someone, blame Anna Gunn for obsessively shoveling éclairs down her throat.

@hydrofluoric: lol I wondered about that weight gain.. I've missed some episodes so I thought there MAY have been something I missed heh...(A thyroid problem?)

Still, I personally don't watch Breaking Bad for the angry housewife, so it didn't really bother me too much.

So she gained that weight on her own? It wasn't tied to having a kid or anything?
